These terms cover your use of this website. They are not the rental agreement. Renting a vehicle from us is a separate written contract, and nothing on this site commits either of us to one.
This website is operated by Blackties Technologies Ltd (we, us), WestLink House, 981 Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9DN. By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
It sets out the vehicles we rent to licensed private hire drivers and operators, lets you join a waiting list for one, and publishes guides about working in the trade. It is information and a way of getting in touch. It is not a booking system, and it does not complete a rental.
The weekly rate shown against a vehicle is the rate for that vehicle at the time of publication. Rates can change, vehicles come in and out of availability, and what is shown here is an invitation to enquire rather than an offer capable of acceptance. Nothing on this site forms a contract.
Adding a car to your list, or asking for a viewing, puts you in the queue and tells us to call you. It does not reserve a vehicle, guarantee one will become available, or fix a price. A rental only exists once we have both signed a rental agreement, and the terms of that agreement, including any deposit, minimum term and mileage allowance, are what govern the hire.
Where a vehicle is marked as unavailable, it is unavailable, and joining the list for it is a way of being told when that changes.
You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. The code we email you is single use and short-lived: treat it as a password and do not forward it. If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us at info@blackties.co.uk.
Give us details that are accurate and your own. Putting someone else's phone number or email address on a waiting list entry is not acceptable use.
You agree not to: probe, disrupt or try to bypass the security of this site; scrape or copy it at a scale that interferes with it; submit anything unlawful, abusive or deliberately false; impersonate anyone; or use it in a way that breaks the law. We may withdraw access if you do.
The text, photography, design and code on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You are welcome to read it, link to it and quote a short passage with credit and a link. You may not republish an article in full, or reuse our photography, without our permission.
The articles and guides on this site are general information about a trade that is heavily regulated and changes often. They are not legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice, and they are not a substitute for advice about your own situation. Licensing requirements, vehicle specifications and platform rules change, and an article is accurate as at its published date and no later. Always check the position with the primary source, such as TfL or the operator concerned, and take professional advice before making a financial commitment. We link to those sources so you can.
We link to third-party sites, including regulators and operators, because they are the authoritative source. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their availability.
We aim to keep this site available and correct, but we provide it as it is. We cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, or carry out maintenance, at any time.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for business losses arising from your use of this website, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of an anticipated saving, or loss of data, and we are not liable for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable. If you rent a vehicle from us, our responsibilities to you are set out in the rental agreement, not here.
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.
We may remove a waiting list entry or withdraw access to the site where these terms have been broken, where an entry appears not to be genuine, or where we reasonably need to. You can stop using the site at any time, and you can sign out and remove your entry yourself from your waitlist page.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the current version is always here. Continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
